I conducted a gas chromatography mass spectrometry test of a sample site in Nairobi as a means to quantitatively analyse what is present in air, particularly in lower income settlements like Mathare. The results were drafted and submitted to organisations in Mathare as a possible means for further funding on the analysis of the environment on human behaviour. The results will then be used as a means to analyse how certain smell molecules impact human behaviour as it relates to cognitive notions such as altruism, trust, and feelings of safety.
