In November, 2017, I was responsible for leading a workshop on the HCD process to members of the Ministry of Health from Somalia. This involved a tour of several maker labs and a three day HCD sprint where each MOH member became actively involved in the HCD process. The workshop was a success, as when they arrived for the larger workshop involving donors and other stakeholders, the MOH was primed to the HCD process and actively engaged with it’s possible outcomes and benefits in Somalia for demand creation around contraceptives.
